George Georgiou, professor of chemical and biomedical engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, has been named Inventor of the Year by the university’s Office of Technology Commercialization.

Sophomore Sai Gourisankar was recently awarded a Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, a prestigious undergraduate award that encourages outstanding students to pursue careers and advanced degrees in engineering, mathematics and natural sciences.
