Marisa Meier wins Staff Spotlight Award

Assistant Director for Alumni and Corporate Relations, Marisa Meier, has been awarded the latest ChE Staff Spotlight Award.

Marisa joined Texas ChE in September 2010 as the Communications Coordinator, and advanced to her current role in 2017. Her leadership and strong commitment to the department are illustrated in the numerous successful initiatives she has been involved such as the Academy of Distinguished Chemical Engineers and the Class of 1957 reunion weekend.

One of the many nominators noted that Marisa, “is strongly committed to the program and shows great initiative in serving as a critical external face for our program.”

Another said, “Marisa tirelessly thinks about how she can help improve the department through her role. She is the type of person the department is lucky to have – one who is dedicated to the department, a good leader, and a champion of the work our students and professors are doing.. ”
