Courtney Hazlett Wins Staff Spotlight Award

 

Courtney Hazlett, Administrative Associate, has been selected to receive the Summer 2018 Staff Spotlight Award. She joined the department in June 2015 as an Administrative Assistant.

One of the nominators said, “Courtney has gone above and beyond her role numerous times and continually shows initiative and leadership. She has taken on additional duties and done so with a positive and professional attitude.”

Courtney’s continual willingness to assist others, professional attitude, event planning acumen and graphic design talent are just a few of the qualities mentioned by her colleagues and the faculty.

“In addition to performing her own job duties competently and efficiently, she continues to help out as needed to ensure that the department runs smoothly. This can involve anything from assisting a departmental guest, to helping with on-boarding of undergraduates as needed, or stepping in to help out the undergraduate office and receiving area student workers,” another nominator noted. “Courtney’s ‘can-do’ work ethic is invaluable and we are lucky to work with someone like her!”

“Working for Texas ChE is incredibly rewarding in multiple ways,” says Courtney. “I am genuinely grateful that I have the opportunity to work for and alongside people who are not only inspiring but also encouraging.”
