Alumnus Jeff Ting Wins AIChE PD2M Student Award
Jeff Ting, Texas ChE alumnus (B.S. ’11) and current University of Minnesota chemical engineering graduate student advised by Drs. Frank Bates and Theresa Reineke, is the recipient of the first annual American Institute of Chemical Engineers Pharmaceutical Discovery, Development and Manufacturing (PD2M) Student Award, sponsored by Pfizer. Ting was awarded a commemorative plaque and $5000 at the 2015 American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City.
The PD2M Student Award recognizes students with outstanding contributions to the field of pharmaceutical discovery, development or manufacturing. Selection was based on the Ting’s contributions to the research in or application of innovative solutions to technological problems, and the commercialization of new processes and products.
