No. 30 Worldwide
The University of Texas at Austin has been ranked No. 30 among the world’s top universities according to the 2015 Center for World University Rankings.
The rankings list the top 1,000 universities in the world based on: quality of education, alumni employment, quality of faculty, publications, influence, citations, broad impact, and patents.
Among these criteria, UT Austin performed the highest globally for quality of faculty, quality of citations and alumni employment. The center also ranked UT Austin No. 7 among public universities and as the No. 22 institution overall in the United States.
Other UT System campuses included in the top 100 are the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas (75) and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (90).
U.S News’ Global University Rankings also placed UT Austin as No. 30 in the world and the Nature Index rated the university as No. 19 in the world, No. 8 among U.S. universities, for high-impact research.
