Peppas Presents AIChE Nanoscale Science and Engineering Lecture
As the 2013 AIChE Nanoscale Science and Engineering Forum (NSEF) Award winner, Professor Nicholas Peppas will give a lecture at a dedicated plenary session Monday, November 4, 2013 at 3:15pm in the Continental 2 Room at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square.
Peppas’ presentation entitled, Emerging Frontiers in Rational Design and Application of Nanotechnology in Medicine will address the molecular design of intelligent nanoscale materials by controlling recognition and specificity. It will examine nanoscale technologies towards the preparation of targeted formulations for protein delivery to specific sites, use of environmentally-responsive polymers to achieve pH- or temperature-triggered delivery, usually in modulated mode, and improvement of the behavior of their mucoadhesive behavior and cell recognition.
