Teri Sahba Wins Ruth Crawford Staff Excellence Award

Department Financial Analyst Teri Sahba was awarded the 2012 Ruth Crawford Staff Excellence Award at the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering Holiday Banquet December 14 at the Headliners Club in Austin.

The annual award is named after former senior staff member Ruth Crawford who devoted thirty years of exemplary service to the department working for Professor Emeritus John J. McKetta Jr. The recipient is selected by a committee convened by the department chair.

“Teri executes all aspects of her job with an unprecedented accuracy, promptness, willingness, and integrity,” said Chair Roger T. Bonnecaze. “Several of her nominators noted her excellent communication, either by email, phone or in person.  They also mentioned her positive attitude and what a pleasure she is to work with.”

Sahba was selected from more than 25 nominations supporting several commendable staff members. She earned a MBA from DePaul University and has worked for the department since 2009.
