Nicholas Peppas Secures Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Awards

Professor Nicholas Peppas was awarded the William Hall Award, Maurice Marie Janot Award and the Acta Biomaterialia Gold Medal in 2010.

Peppas, who splits time between chemical engineering and biomedical engineering, received the prestigious C. William Hall Award from the Society for Biomaterials. The award honors members of the society who have made a significant contribution in establishing, developing and maintaining objectives of the organization.

An international scientific committee selected Peppas for the Maurice Marie Janot Award to recognize the quality, innovation and pioneering impact of his research in pharmaceutical sciences.  Lastly, the Acta Biomaterialia Gold Medal Award honored the professor as an undisputed world leader in biomaterials.
