Admissions

The Office of Admissions is responsible for admitting undergraduates into the Cockrell School of Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering. Admission is extremely competitive and automatic admission for eligible Texas applicants is restricted to the most qualified applicants.

Prospective freshman, and transfer or international students, are encouraged to visit the Cockrell School of Engineering’s Undergraduate Admissions webpage for an overview of requirements and the admissions process.  Prospective students will further be referred to the university-wide Be A Longhorn site where they can contact admissions counselors and find official information regarding admissions, application status and decisions, campus visit registration, financial aid and housing.

Please note: no one at department level has involvement with undergraduate admissions procedures or decisions.
