Jonathan Peck Wins ChE Staff Spotlight Award
Administrative associate Jonathan Peck has been awarded the latest ChE Staff Spotlight Award.
Since joining the department in January 2012, Peck’s primary responsibility it to handle the day-to-day operations of the National Science Foundation sponsored Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) for Next Generation Photovoltaics, led by Texas ChE professor Brian Korgel.
“It’s an honor to be recognized,” Peck said. “The best part about my job is working with great people so I’m thrilled to hear that some of them think I’m doing good work.”
Peck was nominated by numerous faculty, staff and students for his ability to balance a multitude of tasks at the same time and go beyond what is asked of him.
“Jon’s great in ways that we all aspire to be in our jobs,” Dr. Thomas Truskett, Texas ChE chairman said. “He connects both up and down: students, fellow staff and faculty are thrilled that he is a part of our team.”
