Buddie Mullins Named Best ChE Professor by SEC
Dr. Buddie Mullins has been named the 2016 Best ChE Professor by the Student Engineering Council. Mullins received the award at the Cockrell School of Engineering Distinguished Awards Banquet.
Engineering students nominated multiple professors from each Cockrell School department during this year’s E-Week in February. Mullins was then selected as Best ChE Professor after students voted on the nominees.
Mullins holds the Matthew Van Winkle Regents Professorship in Chemical Engineering and Z.D. Bonner Professorship in Chemical Engineering. He currently teaches ChE 353 Transport Phenomena and ChE 384 Electrochemistry. His research focuses on advanced materials, polymers, nanotechnology and energy.
The award ceremony took place in the Connally Banquet Hall in the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center on April 20.
