Alumnus Haiqing Lin Receives Early Career Researcher of the Year Award
Alumnus Haiqing Lin, Ph.D. ’05, was recently announced as the recipient of the 2015 Early Career Researcher of the Year Award from the University at Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS).
Lin, a former student in Dr. Benny Freeman‘s group, has been an assistant professor in the UB Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering since 2013. Before pursuing a career in academia, Lin worked as a senior research scientist and team leader of the gas separations group for Membrane Technology and Research, Inc.
The Early Career Researcher Award is presented to junior faculty members whose recent research demonstrates relevance and importance to the overall mission of the UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Lin will be recognized for the award Dec. 4, at the SEAS Awards and Holiday Party in Buffalo, New York.
