Undergraduates Win Regional AIChE Jeopardy Competition
Undergraduates from the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering recently won first place in the Chem-E Jeopardy competition at the American Institute of Chemical Engineer’s (AIChE) Southwest Regional Student Conference in Austin, Texas.
Areen Pitaktong, Amy Claire Howard, Randal Paxton Thedford and Akash Gupta (pictured L-R) represented UT Austin’s AIChE student chapter at the event. They placed first over teams from Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and the University of Houston.
The team will advance to compete in a national competition held at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah in November.
