Edgar Endowed Graduate Fellowship in chemical engineering— just in time to celebrate his induction to the National Academy of Engineering.

This endowment will honor a man who has given so much of himself to the lives of his students and colleagues and will support, in perpetuity, the pursuit of graduate education within the John J. McKetta Jr. Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.

Former student quote v9This endowment, which has a goal of $350,000, has been seeded by a $50,000 gift commitment from a former student. All new pledges in support of the Edgar Fellowship may be paid over five calendar years.

Funds distributed annually from the Dr. Thomas F. Edgar Endowed Graduate Fellowship in Chemical Engineering will be used to aid in the recruitment and educational support of outstanding chemical engineering graduate students. All students who hold this endowed fellowship will be recognized as the Dr. Thomas F. Edgar Graduate Fellow.
