Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) invites applications for tenure track faculty appointments at the assistant professor level in the Howard P. Isermann Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.
These faculty members will join the department at a time of unprecedented growth. New faculty will have the opportunity to conduct multidisciplinary research associated with a large number of centers on campus, including Future Energy Systems, Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies, Nanotechnology, and Polymer Synthesis, among many others.
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in chemical or biological engineering or a closely related field. Degree requirements must be satisfactorily completed by the time appointment begins. In addition, candidates must demonstrate, through accomplishments, promise of future distinction in scholarship and education.
Successful candidates are expected to teach in the area of chemical engineering, perform research and mentor students, and perform service to the department, institute and the profession.
