Doctoral Portfolio Program in Nanotechnology
As one of the first Ph.D. programs in nanotechnology in the U.S., the Doctoral Portfolio Program in nanoscience and nanotechnology provides chemical engineering Ph.D. students the opportunity to obtain formal interdisciplinary training and credentials in nanoscience and nanotechnology while completing their Ph.D. degree requirements.
In the program, chemical engineering students interact with Ph.D. students from a variety of other disciplines, including chemistry, physics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science & engineering, and mechanical engineering. Students also participate in specially-designed graduate level courses in nanotechnology and a seminar series that brings in world-leading experts in nanotechnology to discuss their research.
