Leadership Opportunities
ChE Student Ambassadors
ChE student ambassadors are undergraduate students who officially represent the department. Their main tasks include welcoming and ushering guests for special events and meetings, help guide future students and their families, and assist with orientation and registration procedures.
Ramshorn Retreats
Ramshorn Retreats help instill leadership and communication skills, along with team building and ethics in undergraduate engineering students. There are four developmental programs open to all Cockrell School undergraduates that help shape students into successful, professional engineers. To participate, you must be a registered Cockrell School undergraduate student.
Graduate Leadership Series
In order to be successful in any career a student must first develop leadership qualities that are essential to thrive in the workforce. Engineering Student Life’s annual Graduate Leadership Series (GLS) programs occur in the spring semester and help students connect with industry and community executives and leaders over dinner and after dinner sessions. To participate in the GLS you must be a registered graduate student in the Cockrell School of Engineering for the spring semester.
LeaderShape Texas
The LeaderShape Institute is a nationally recognized leadership development program for young adults. Thousands of successful candidates have graduated from this program in over 500 different institutions and corportations. This comprehensive, energizing program is open to any participant, institution, or work-place interested in nurturing successful organizations with extraordinary leadership skills.
